With hair restoration treatment it is also recommended that post procedure topical medication is applied. Also supplied from a compounding pharmacy, which has Minoxidil ( which is a growth enhancer, an over the counter medication and topically applied), Finasteride ( DHT Blocker; topical serum) and Tretinoin ( a form of Vitamin A that helps the skin absorb serums.)
Scalp treatments are usually performed 4-6 weeks apart, with a minimum of three treatments and after that an assessment is made to determine if more treatments are required. Hair growth is a slow process.
Post Care at home includes topical medication, may need oral medication, keeping head covered with hats and staying out of the sun while treatment is ongoing.
Caution: if Patient (MALE) is taking an oral Finasteride patient is not to use topical serum Finasteride. Patients will be ordered GHK-CU which should be topically applied to the scalp, as it is a Copper Peptide.
ADVICE: Wear Hats, Use Sunscreen, avoid sunbathing while treatment is ongoing for facial rejuvenation and hair restoration.
