Tirzepatide/ B3: is a compound medication with two types of Peptides: GIP and GLP1 used in adjunct with diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults, decrease cravings and improve weight by decreasing body fat. Little to no muscle wasting.
- For long term weight management in Obese patients BMI 30kg/m2.
- For long term weight management in Overweight patients BMI> 27 with 1 related comorbidity (i.e. hypertension, hyperlipidemia, DM).
Actions: This Peptide medication helps with weight management by the interruption of cravings in the brain thus decreasing appetite. This process will also slow down digestion in the stomach, thereby reducing body fat. 1 injection given one time per week. Dosing determined by Provider and Pharmacist.
It is very important to drink lots of water and eat small meals. Taking a multivitamin and Digestive enzyme is also recommended.
Side Effects are limited: Occasional nausea, occasional constipation. If severe abdominal pain occurs go to your nearest ER.
